It's all about using your wits. For me I'm always looking for a deal even when the economy is booming.
Don't get me wrong I'm NOT cheap at all. I truly believe in treating myself to nice things ! However, you don't always have to pay full price - SHOP AROUND !
The other thing is do not try to keep up with the Jones. You don't have to buy every new gadget or style that comes out especially trendy shit that will not last over time.
Most importantly stack your dough! If you're doing the corporate thing like me utilize the 401K plan....yeah I know these plans are not doing well now but they will eventually so don't take your money out leave it in but don't add more let remain as it is until the economy bounces back then increase your contributions especially if your employer matches !
Ok, didn't mean to start preaching because shit I'm not a Financial Analyst just a brother trying to make it !

Hey Smooth 7 i agree with all your economy tips...money talk gets me horny...lol
I have a friend who predicted this downturn. (Not hard to predict...housing was so inflated we all knew it had to burst...) Anyway, he pulled all his investments out of the market two months before the crash and kept them in cash funds. Then he reinvested after the crash. Thus, he actually made money during these times! So now when everything eventually goes up, you and me who kept our 401k money in will make money but my friend will REALLY make money since he never lost any in the first place. I should have listened to him. The key was that he took his money out before the crash. Of course, taking money out after the crash is just silly long term... Anyway, we should talk Smooth we both from Chicago...
oh and yea...Happy 4th Tigerrrr...
