I MEAN FIRST OFF NO ONE IN THIS WORLD IS PERFECT I MEAN NO ONE, ALSO I TOO CAN RELATE IN SOME WAYS ABOUT THE HOLIDAYS AND FAMILY CAUSE IN MY FAMILY ITS KNOWN FOR SOMEONE TO WALK OUT WITH A BLACK EYE AT THE END OF THE NIGHT THANKS TO LIQUOR AND IGNORANCE, BUT I FOUND THE REAL ENJOYMENT WHEN I WENT AND MADE MY OWN FAMILY AND ONLY THEN I WAS ABLE TO FEEL WHAT I FELT WHEN I WAS A KID AT CHRISTMAS.
ALL IN ALL I GUESS IM SAYING HOLIDAYS ARE FOR WHEN YOU GET WITH FAMILY ONCE OR TWICE IN A YEAR AND YOU ENJOY THE THAT DAY FOR WHAT ITS WORTH BECAUSE NO ONE IS PROMISED TOMORROW OK PEACE DONT WANNA SOUND LIKE WHAT EVER YOU CONSIDER WHAT I SOUND LIKE JUST SOME WORDS FROM A FRIEND IS HOW I SEE IT.... Family is not always blood relatives. So in a sense we all have family if you have a friend, neighbor, co-worker etc. that truly has your best interest at heart then thats your family!
You know this when you're together with the and you experience a comfort zone that allows you to relax, be yourself and most of all feel safe.
I'm blessed to be close with my immediate family but it's another story with my extended family (aunts,uncles cousins etc.) those motherfuckers are crazy ! It was horrible growing up around them ! Which is why I made it a point to make sure my son and nephews grew up like brothers and to this day they are very close! Each role is important not just the role of mother and father but the role of uncle or aunt is equally important as well and should be taken very serious! Hell cousins are important !
Again, family is what you make it and don't have to be blood relatives. So if you don't have a good relationship with your blood then love whoever the good people are in your life an find happiness and peace with them. Also, you have to LOVE YOURSELF to start with !
Didn't mean to go off but that post along with Tiger's comments really tugged at my heart strings. I understand is all I'm saying.

Tiger commented that no one is promised tomorrow...I think of that when I'm with family over the holidays that may not approve of my lifestyle...I bear their ignorance and come out the better man...i don't want any regrets...

I am the one who posted that. Thank God, Im writing anonymous or else you would've called me out.lol I understand what you are saying and you are exactly right. However, you have to remember every family is totally different, just because you related doesnt mean you have to like them, and in that case I really dont like anyone except my nephew, he is my pride and joy, since I dont have any kids of my own. I feel sorry for him because his parents are total shitheads. Luckily, he has me, so everything will be alright. :) You all should cherish your families if you have good ones, but if you have bad ones and you try to get along and make peace, well its like I say: Two tears in a bucket motherfuck it! lol Well you all have a merry christmas and a Happy New Year, you too Tiger lol even though you called me out. But that alright cus we gonna meet one day. you'll see. Keep ya head up and dont stop being you.
